Who doesn’t love and miss “The Hills“/”Laguna Beach” star LC?! Well we won’t have to wait much longer for her TV return as Lauren Conrad confirmed yesterday in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, along with MTV News, that she will be filming a new reality series! YAY!

The last time we saw 24-year-old Lauren on our screens was at the infamous ‘Speidi’ Wedding on MTV’s “The Hills” where she shocked both her cast mates and viewers by making an appearance at the event, and then disappointed fans across the world when she exited the affair and popular TV show in a stretch limo.

But after a much needed time-out LC is heading back to MTV and her new reality show will be following her professional life as a fashion designer! We will see the star we grew up along side focussing on building her company and fashion house from the ground up in a documentary style series.

Continuing her 6 year relationship with MTV this will be Lauren’s 3rd TV show with the network who transformed her from an everyday U.S. high school student to an international small screen star, and we can’t wait to watch her show off her inspiring entrepreneurial skills!

MTV will be releasing more info on this next week so pimpom will be sure to keep you posted!
Lauren told The Hollywood Reporter that she is “happy to be back” and tweeted on her official Twitter that it is all “Pretty exciting stuff”. We feel the same way.. Welcome Back LC!

Shot in Los Angeles but filmed against a New York City backdrop at Fox Studios, The Saturdays’ new music video for their next single “Higher” sees the five girls making the most of being stuck in the Big Apple’s gridlock traffic!

The second offering from the band’s latest album “Healines”, “Higher” has since been remixed featuring friend to pimpom Flo Rida who offered a collaboration with the girl band after he narrowly beat them to a UK number one a second time with “Club Can’t Handle Me” this summer.

The Saturdays‘ single “Higher” comes out November 1st 2010 and will be the later recorded Flo Rida version. This catchy up beat tune looks set to go straight to the top of the UK charts and we’re loving its infectious and feisty elements!

Taylor Swift‘s official music video for her new song “Mine” has premiered!

Taylor recently told EW that “Mine” is the first single off her upcoming album “Speak Now” (scheduled for release October 25th 2010) and is all about her tendency to run from love but is “sort of about finding the exception to that.” A love song with a happy ending, hoorah!

Taylor hand picked  Brit actor Toby Hemingway to star in the video alongside her. The country music star wrote “Mine” after inspiration from an old crush and co-directed the feel good video with Roman White, who told MTV News “There’s a lot of time travel in this video, which is fun. No DeLoreans! Time travel is horrible for the hair, but fun nonetheless … It’s evolving their family story.”
The video was shot in Kennebunkport, Maine, and this also became the place it premiered for a special CMT event.

pimpom has the official music video for Taylor Swift’sMine” and if you want to watch it just click here! U.S. authorisation only, for now – sorry : (

Swapping TV scripts and sets for a canvas and student life at NYU, pimpom decided to catch up with Dylan for an exclusive chat about his biggest passion

Articulate TV/Movie actor DYLAN SPROUSE is embarking on a new and exciting creative path. As filming for the third season of his hit Disney Channel show The Suite Life on Deck comes to an end, Dylan begins preparations for university and will be starting his Fine/Studio Arts and Economics degree at NYU this fall.

As stated on his official website, “Art is my biggest passion.. and is what I want to do for the rest of my life alongside acting and even after I leave the acting industry” (sprousebros.com). And so far things are going well. In 2006 Dylan drew and created the characters William and Shady which have just emerged as 3D figures and launched at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego last week.
Dylan also recently set up an art blog – sprousearts.com – to talk about his favorite artists and artwork along with his upcoming works and designs.

So, what is he most looking forward to about his course at NYU, is there a ‘best bit’ to toy designing and who are some of his inspirations? pimpom caught up with Dylan to discuss all this…

pimpom: What form/s of art do you find best to express your creativity and what are you looking forward to learning more about on your course at NYU?
Dylan Sprouse: Normally I use ink and watercolor, and during my NYU experience I’m looking forward to learning more about the human anatomy and how to sketch it, my true artistic weakness lies in that of the face.

pp: Who are some artists you admire? Do you have a particular favorite piece of work or set of workings?
DS: I enjoy Joe Ledbetter’s, and Francisco Goya’s style, but if i were to choose any artist in history it would have to be Hieronymus Bosch because of his twisted style.

Dylan with the "William and Shady" figures he created and designed

pp: With your interest in Fine Arts and video game cultures, what’s your take on the debate over whether video games can be counted as an art form?
DS: It really depends on the game i suppose, such games as Shadow of the Colossus and Grim Fandango I consider art, but so many other games just consist of mindless violence….doesn’t mean they aren’t fun however hahaha
pp: It must have felt like a great achievement when a character you created (William and Shady) became made into figures and launched at Comic-Con. Is designing and that process something you’re planning and wanting to do more of?
DS: It’s not so much the process i love, for it is long and boring, but more the outcome of the process that is most rewarding, seeing something you created with your hands become a toy sculpted by a master of his craft is similar to the birth of a child from the artist’s standpoint (though I havent had a child just yet), it’s fantastic to view the final product, and you can only hope it does well in it’s lifetime. After all is said and done, you feel more like a father than an artist.

pimpom wishes Dylan a successful and fun freshman year!

Tonight, the “Suite Life on Deck” episode ‘Das Boots’ premieres on the Disney Channel (U.S). And friend to pimpom Cody Kennedy is guest starring as Sasha Matryoshka, a Russian chess player, so be sure to look out for her!

Another interesting fact, on this season of the show Zoey Deutch has also been guest starring and she is the daughter of Lea Thompson who played Marty McFly’s mother in the classic adventure comedy movie “Back to the Future“.

Here’s a description of the episode, ‘Das Boots‘, and what to look forward to:

“While Maya helps Zack and Woody transfer London’s shoes to her shoe submarine, Zack accidentally causes the sub to submerge, trapping them with only 30 minutes of oxygen. In fear that they’ll never get out, Maya finally admits that she likes Zack back. Meanwhile, Marcus helps Cody prepare for a big chess match against the junior chess champion of Russia, who happens to be a distractingly cute girl.”

GLEE Season Two Details

Posted: 26th July 2010 by cr in TV
Tags:

This hit multi award-winning U.S. TV show has not only been picked up for a second season but also for a third (even before its second season has started transmitting – a TV first!). So, with A LOT more Glee in our future do you want to know what’s ahead? Well, pimpom‘s got all you gleeks covered. With so much to tell, here’s a darn good taster for all things Glee-Season-2

Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) is going to fall out of love with Artie (Kevin McHale) and instead develop feelings for Mike (Harry Shum Jr.).
Kurt (Chris Colfer) will get his first boyfriend and they will become a school power-couple.
The Britney Spears episode, called “Britney/Brittany”, will be airing in September and will consists of 6 songs. “We’re doing it in a very funny way. We’re doing it in a fun, hallucinogenic way,” creator Ryan Murphy reveals. As Matt Morrison publicly objected to a Britney Spears themed episode, his character Mr. Schu will spend the whole episode refusing to do Britney songs- ha!
It was also revealed that there will be a Rocky Horror Picture show-themed episode, “The Power of Madonna” sequel and a Religion-themed episode. Brit band Coldplay have now also given the show permission to cover any of their songs.
It’s official – Kristin Chenoweth will be returning to continue guest starring as April Rhodes and Idina Menzel, who played the long lost mom of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), will be back for season two as well for more mama-drama. Also, Jennifer Lopez and Susan Boyle are currently in talks to possibly guest star in the Christmas episode.
The second season will be concentrating on character story lines and their home-lives (with the possibility of meeting Artie’s mother and Rachel’s two gay dads) and less on musical numbers. The average # of songs per episode will drop from 8 to 5.
And finally,  although creator Ryan Murphy originally concieved the concept of Glee as a film, he confirmed that there are no plans for it to hit the big screen but if it did he would like it to be a 3-D concert version from Radio City.

Glee season two begins airing September 21st of FOX (UK TX date TBA).

‘Mean Girls 2′ – Welcome (Back) To Girl World

Posted: 6th July 2010 by cr in Film
Tags:

Based on the popular self-help book “Queen Bees and Wannabes”, the 2004 movie “Mean Girls” (adapted to the screen by Tina Fey and starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams) had major blockbuster success and quickly became everyone’s favorite quotable movie. “I know, right?”. Now 6 years later, production has officially begun on “Mean Girls 2” in Atlanta, GA this week…

'Mean Girls 2' star Nicole Anderson

None of the original cast – which included Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfriend – will be returning. Instead, “Mean Girls 2” will be directed by Melanie Mayron and have a new plot in addition to fresh faces which include a list of Disney associated stars. Maiara Walsh (Cory in the House, Desperate Housewives) has been confirmed to be playing the new lead ‘Plastic’ and Nicole Anderson (Jonas/Jonas L.A) announced via her Twitter that she is playing Hope, the new Gretchen Weiners-type character. Other cast members include Jennifer Stone (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Meaghan Martin (Camp Rock 2, 10 Things I Hate About You TV series) who will be playing Jo.

The “Mean Girls 2plot revolves around new high school student Jo, who agrees to befriend an outcast, Abby, at the urging of Abby’s wealthy father in exchange for paying all of Jo’s costs for the college of her dreams. Jo and Abby team up to take on the school’s mean girls, the ‘Plastics’. The story becomes a high stakes battle of loyalty that ultimately comes to a head when one of the heroines finds out that her friendship has been bought and paid for.

I wonder if any of the people in the sequel will be allowed to wear hoop earrings?! And note to all new girls on set – stay away from Kalteen bars!

‘Mean Girls 2′ is being produced by ‘Paramount Famous Productions’ and is predicted to be a straight to TV movie for ABCFamily next year. Air date – TBA.

This Friday (July 9th 2010) sees the UK release of the latest film from the Twilight phenomenon. “Eclipse“, based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer, is the third instalment in a planned set of 5 films – the fourth and last book “Breaking Dawn” is being split into 2 movies, Summit Entertainment has confirmed.

Eclipse” is directed by David Slade and all the main cast – Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli etc- return along with a few new characters intertwined through the storyline.

Victoria (now played by Bryce Dallas Howard) is still set on destroying Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and forms an army of newborn vampires to help achieve her goal. The Cullens and the Quileute Tribe must put aside their differences and work together to stop this dangerous and rapidly increasing Seattle-breed of vampires in order to save Bella.
We also see the back-stories to some of the supporting characters like Jasper and Rosalie and all the while Bella continues to struggle with her desire to be changed into a vampire and her conflicting emotions for both Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

I was invited to the preview event at the weekend to watch “Eclipse“ and can safely say that Twi-hard fans will not be disappointed (-especially if you are Team Jacob, just sayin’).

Here’s one of the Official Trailers for “Eclipse”

‘Eclipse’ is now playing in U.S. theatres and UK fans can see the movie in cinemas from Friday July 9th 2010

While successfully climbing her way up the Hollywood career ladder pimpom ‘locked-down’ Leven to get the low-down on her new ABC show ‘Scoundrels’

With an ever rising television career, things are moving fast for 20 year old LEVEN RAMBIN. As one of today’s most prominent actresses in Young Hollywood her resume includes roles on popular U.S. shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Lipstick Jungle and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

This week has been the lead up to the premiere of her latest project – ABC’s new comedy-drama Scoundrels, about a family of small-time criminals about to go straight, airing tomorrow night. Texas born Leven stars as aspiring model Heather West in this much anticipated upcoming series.

Despite this being a busy time in her life, pimpom was lucky enough to catch Leven on her Blackberry for an exclusive chat.
Here’s what she told us about her career so far, her future Hollywood aspirations and all about her exciting new ABC show Scoundrels

pimpom: How did you originally land the role(s) in ‘All My Children’ and how did it feel going back for the 40th Anniversary this year?
Leven Rambin: I auditioned for All My Children when I was 13, and it was my first professional acting audition. I was so nervous, but I think it worked in my favor for this character. I was so honored to be back for the 40th Anniversary because the show has so much history and so many beloved characters and to be recognized in that group was amazing. I will always look at that as a milestone.

pp: You’ve appeared in a lot of major American TV shows, is there a stand out highlight and what did you take away from those experiences?
LR: I really enjoyed working with Brooke Shields on NBC’s Lipstick Jungle and Eric Dane on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. They are so seasoned and such high caliber actors that I learned a lot about acting and the business in general working with them.

Leven Rambin in 'Grey's Anatomy'

pp: You’re rapidy building a high profile career in television but what shows do you enjoy watching?
LR: I love True Blood, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, 30 Rock, and Glee. I’d love to be on any one of those shows.

pp: Lots of actresses appear in ad campaigns – you’re now signed to Wilhelmina – do you think modeling will develop as an important part of your career and as a way of reaching new audiences?
LR: I modeled for the covers on the new-generation Sweet Valley High books, and that has brought a lot of strange attention. I didn’t realize anyone would notice it was me or that the books were so popular!

pp: You must be excited for the premiere of ‘Scoundrels’, it looks like a really fun show. Tell us a bit about your character Heather West and what the audience can look forward to?
LR: Scoundrels is a really fun show about a family who gets by on being small-time crooks. Virginia Madsen plays the mom, Cheryl, who decides that our family must get legitimate jobs to protect our futures. Heather wants to be a famous supermodel and is very consumed in her looks and her success (or lack thereof). She is appalled when she has to find real work. She is a lot of fun for me to play because she acts so ditzy but has a cunning side.

pp: Is there a talent out there in the industry that you especially admire and, for you, what would be a dream role?
LR: I admire Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston because they are beautiful and smart, but can also play comedy or transform into characters totally different from themselves.
A dream role for me would be something in an action Comic Book franchise! Iron Man!!

With the essence of a young Scarlett Johansson and genuine developed talent things can only keep going up from here and pimpom can’t wait to see what more is in store for Leven Rambin!

Catch Leven tomorrow night (Sunday June 20th) on ABC’s Scoundrels at 9pm.
